The Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen (RDOS) is preparing a Parks, Trails, and Recreation 10-year Master Plan (The Master Plan). The Master Plan is a strategic guide that will be used by the RDOS as it makes decisions about the acquisition, development, enhancement, and management of parks, trails, and recreation facilities and programs for the next 10 years.
A thorough public engagement program was implemented in the spring and summer of 2021. At that time, input was received from the public as well as community groups, commissions, and partners throughout the region. Using the findings from the public engagement process, as well as other inputs, a draft Master Plan has been developed.
At this time, the RDOS is looking to gather feedback from the community on the draft Master plan which is titled “Healthy Individuals, Healthy Communities, Healthy Environment”.
Before answering the survey questions about the draft Master Plan, you will need to review it. You are encouraged to have the plan open or printed as you complete this survey. Once you have reviewed the material, please complete the survey to share your thoughts (approximately 15 minutes).
Please note that your response is needed by September 30, 2022 by 4:30 pm Pacific Time.
The information you provide will be reviewed and shared with the RDOS. Where necessary, the Master Plan itself may be adjusted to reflect the common input received from the community. Thank you very much for taking the time to share your thoughts on the Master Plan and helping to shape the future of parks, trails and recreation in the Regional District.
